Hello, and welcome to my blog!!

I try to update every week even if it's not about photos...so leave a comment if you want.  I'd love to hear what you think!!

ImageX 08...so much fun!!!

Two weeks ago I went to the ImageX Workshop in New Orleans, LA and it was a blast! Not only did I learn a ton, but got to do some shooting with the beautiful models that volunteered to have us torture and boss them around, which is always fun.

This was one of my favorite couples...they were working so hard to make great photos for us, and weren't even a real "together" couple.  Troopers 'til the end for all of the awkward situations we put them in.

Then, the last night I was there the whole group gathered for a "Second Line" to The Saint Louis Hotel for a farewell bash. It was a blast...but when party starts off with a girl on stilts, you know its going to be a good night! :)

Dusty and Amy - SNEAK PEAK!

Today I got to shoot Amy and Dusty's engagements...we hung out on the Texas A&M campus a bit and ended up at the George Bush Presidential Library. There's this pretty cool sculpture of horses stampeding over pieces of the Berlin Wall, and Amy said that when they first started dating they would come here to chat and figure out the answers to life's problems. They seem to have it covered, but I need the cliffs notes. :)

Hello Blog World!! So things have been slowing down a little thank goodness...I have a lot of editing to catch up on and should hopefully be completely on top of things in the next two weeks (fingers crossed)!

Other than bridals, which are top-secret and unbloggable until after the wedding day, I have been helping out a few friends with weddings...

Last weekend was Robin + Aaron in Dallas, TX with JP Beato III

...they had a really fun group and their reception was on the 48th floor of the Thanksgiving Day Building in downtown Dallas.  You could see for miles and miles...

Oh, and p.s....I got a new car!!

I promise to blog more soon!!

Mother's Day went out with a bang!

So yesterday was Mother's Day...

JP and I headed to Austin...he played with the boys for a little while (aka- FROLFing, gun range, burgers...real guy stuff) and I was off for some quality time (aka- delicious lunch and a chick flick) with Mom for her special day. It really worked out perfectly, and of course we put off leaving until the last minute because Austin is probably the best city EVER!

It was a totally relaxed and fun loving day all around...

...until this happened.  Aaaagh! ;-)

Don't worry, no one was hurt...except poor little Sally (effectively called that as of right now...because it sounds cooler with a car name). Her poor little headlight is hanging on for dear life!  Hopefully it won't cause the pocket book as much damage as it did the car. Feel free to leave me a repair guesstimate...I'm curious to see what people think and should know within a few days (fingers crossed)!

Brent and Paige : Austin, TX

Had the opportunity to work with John Livas this past weekend because he was shooting a wedding in Austin as well, and it was a lot of fun! They had some of the cutest kids in the wedding...a cake that fell, but was nursed back to beauty before the show...and a grand finale skit performed by the cousins.

Just a little end of the night pic snapped while taking a break after all the excitement was over...I liked it.

Neil and Carol...take one!

So yesterday I shot Neil and Carol's wedding at this great little place Chapel Dulcinea just outside of Austin...it's on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Texas Hill Country and was perfect for these two.

It was a small wedding, and let me say it was a breath of fresh air...I loved how laid back it was...no stress is good stress!

Anyway, here's a teaser...I hope to have the rest up very soon!

Sarah and Jared Rock!!

Hello!! So last weekend I was weddingless...and even though I have a blast shooting them, it is always nice to slow the pace down and be able to shoot one on one with clients. Sarah and Jared were troopers! They didn't even bat an eye at the scary abandoned train car...which totally freaked me out the first time I went there. Who knows what has lived in that thing...well, who cares it was an awesome place to shoot!

Easter fun!

After shooting a wedding on Lake Travis, JP and I headed over to Austin for a whirlwind one-day visit tour!

Easter stop #1- Yummy brunch with Mom, Kathy, Loyd and Grandma!  Kathy went all out on the Easter decor...and luckily for us, she loves to cook, so there's always plenty to go around.

These two women laugh more than anyone, so I thought this was appropriate... :)

Easter stop #2- Hang out with my little Brandon for a while...little ones get all of the attention! He's a super sweet kiddo, and was a lot of fun to play with, even after JP and I had stuffed ourselves for the second time already...all between 11 am and 1 pm.  Uncle Mark was on tickling duty...

The camera loves him. :)

Easter stop #3- Last, but certainly not least...we rescued Whitney's injured lens (well I just watched really, JP did most of the rescuing part ;) before heading back home.

It is expected to make a full recovery...

Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

I heart outdoor weddings!

Jade + John - Gilmer, TX - March 8, 2008

First outdoor wedding of the season!!! I don't get to do many of these living in Texas because it gets to be about 800 degrees in the summer, so they're always a nice treat. There's another one coming up, so it should be posted in a few days...I'm running a little behind, eek!
